OBX

We had another fantastic time on our annual family vacation to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. The OBX is my absolute favorite vacation spot and I always anxiously await our annual trip! Our group seems to be growing more and more each year which only means more laughs, food, drinks, and dysfunctional memories! Some highlights of the trip include my dehydrated brother, the kids night out at our favorite OBX bar "Sundogs", and the invention of the high tide game. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the week...can't wait until next year!

Our family invented our new favorite ocean game "High Tide" where we all line up our chairs as the tide begins to come in and we see who can last the longest without getting knocked over. Needless to say it was a huge hit and we even had spectators come up to us asking what time we'd be playing the next day.

Infusion

I've been on an infusion kick lately...thank you pinterest! So far i've made infused blueberry and raspberry vodka. Yesterday I began the process of making limoncello...its quite a lengthy process! I'm hoping the end result is good!

Our Garden

I knew one of the first big projects I wanted to do when we moved to our house was to put in a vegetable garden. We are lucky that my brother and sister in law are now living in town and led the way on our massive garden! What I thought would be a morning project turned into an all day, hard labor work to dig up our garden from scratch. Last night we finished up by planting all the vegetables. I think we were a little over ambitious and may have to open a tomato stand at the end of our driveway this summer! I will be sure to post more pictures as our garden grows!
Not looking like much now

Little did we know how much work this would be...

Starting to make some progress

Let the digging begin

Finally all dug up!!

Ready to plant some vegetables...even Mama came to help!

We have a garden!!

Now what do we do?!

Field of Dreams

This past weekend we headed to Huntington Park (the triple A baseball park in Columbus) for the field of dreams game. A guy from Columbus won a contest where he got to form a team of friends to play against baseball legends. We had a lot of fun!

House updates

It's been awhile since I've posted some house pictures. Things are great here and it's really starting to come together! There are still many projects to be done, but it's looking more like a home. This past weekend my Mom came to visit and we FINALLY tore down that hidious border in the dining room! It's amazing how much different the room looks now! We also rearranged and cleaned up the sun room which has become my favorite room in the house!
It's like a whole new room!!

Easter Traditions

Every Good Friday it is tradition to make Easter Bread with my Uncle John and crew. This is one of my favorite family traditions! I was lucky enough to be able to spend a few days in Cleveland with my family. This year was slightly different as we were able to make it in Pretzalicious' commercial kitchen instead of at my parents house. This helped the process of making 54+ loaves of bread a little quicker! It was a great time and after many a few bottles of champagne later the process was complete!
